Tempo Planer Teamwide events do not reduce iteration commitment

Matthias Kannenberg September 1, 2015

If I have an iteration (sprint from JIRA agile scrum board) scheduled (e.g. over two weeks) for all team member and I add something in that time frame (custom entry or story in time line or classic view) for all team members, commitment for the iteration is not reduced but everybody is simply over committed..

When I do the same but only add something to one team member, it works and commitment for the iteration is reduced at that specific date and I also see the entry as blocking in backlog mode.

How can I do something like plan a sprint / iteration in tempo planer and then add an event to reduce the available time for the whole team for the sprint / iteration?

Hi Matthias,

this is not possible in the current version of Tempo Planner.

When a Plan is created for the whole Team, it does not automatically reduce the commitment for an existing Team plan. You will need to change the commitment for the Team manually (in Team Members Timeline, expand the existing Plan and choose "Edit". In the Dialog, you can change the commitment for the Team).

You can also create a feature request in our Tempo Planner Project (https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TP/Tempo+Planner+Support+Home) for this and it will be evaluated by Project management. Other users can then comment and vote on it.

Regards,

Susanne
