Disable Confluence updates in Jira activity stream

Zach Newman January 9, 2014

We are currently using Jira 5.1.1. A project with an application link to corresponding confluence project is showing completely unrelated confluence updates in the activity stream. Is there a way to fix this? The activity feed is unusable because it is spammed with updates from different projects.

Atlassian support confirmed this is a bug with our version of Jira and Confluence.

Hi,

You can edit the Activity Stream and remove Confluence or restrict the content to be displayed:

How would you restrict the content to be displayed? and also, how do you remove the activity stream from projects ? ( I managed to remove it from the main dashboard but i`m still fumbling in the dark with the projects )

Hi znewman,

You may find this documentation useful https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Adding+the+Activity+Stream+Gadget.It contain the detailed instruction on how to select the application activity that you wish to monitor.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
