Hi

I would like to specify different Resolution and Priority options for the different issues -

i.e. for bug :

Priority: blocker, major, minor, trivial,

Resolution: Duplicated, invalid, Fix

and for New Feature:

Priority: High. Medium, Low

Resolution: Duplicated, Done

Thanks!

Simple answer is that you can't do this. Both lists are fixed lists, set on a global level.

You have some leeway with resolutions though - you can use workflow properties to limit what resolutions can be used at certain points in the workflow, and workflows can be tied to project/issue-type. But it's a very indirect route.

Or, you can try some javascript to remove options you don't want, but it's painful to implement and a nightmare to maintain.

You'll need to blank it out (set it to "none") on any issues that currently have it.

You can use the field configuration schemes to remove them.

But if you stop using resolution, you'll find Jira no longer has any idea whether an issue is resolved or not. It will simply show all issues as "unresolved". I generally advise that you continue to use resolution, even if you completely automate it (use post-functions to set it when issues are closed in the workflow, and clear it on re-open)
