Hi,
I was able to hide "edit" button from all users and allow it only to space admin.
Is there a way to hide "edit" button from specific users?
Or display it to only specific users?
Thanks

I know this is an old question, but I was looking for the same solution and found this: How do I hide the "Edit" / "Edit Contents" button?
Change the permissions to only allow people who should edit the page the right to edit.
Also, have a look at page restrictions.

Hi Nic,
Thank you for your fast response.
This actually I know
I forgot to mention that I am using a plug-in that adds a button of "Edit Contents".
I would like that this will be the only button the users can use when they like to edit the page.
If I use the solution you suggested the "Edit Contents" button is disabled as well.
Hope that's clears out my question.
Thanks again,
Loren

Yes, it's a completely different case. I'd remove the plugin frankly, it doesn't sound like it's adding any value.

well actually this plug-in is very helpful. it allows me to create a wiki page that consist with fields the user can fill. Perhaps you herd of it- Scaffolding (Service Rocket)?

Yes, I have, and it is useful. There's no benefits in hiding the real edit button though.
