Is there an estimated time that the Atlassian Connect framework will be available for JIRA servers?

We have decided that we will not be delivering support for Atlassian Connect in JIRA Server or Confluence Server.

Seb, could you please comment Why did you decide to do not support Atlassian Connect for Server installations. The info in the announcement is too general and blurry. Only clear reason I see is your desire to focus on fixing and improving core parts of JIRA and Confluence. Are there any other business or technical reasons?

I think it is covered in the announcement, but to boil it down: to better focus our efforts on the Atlassian Cloud offering. This is actually not the same as working on JIRA and Confluence core! We're focusing on making Connect better for Cloud.
