Can JEMH update an issue summary, issue description, issue status and a custom field?

Can the JEMH update an issue mainly the fields mentioned in the title.  My company are looking into using JEMH but need to know if it can update certain fields.  Also can it add a customfield to a new issue, e.g I have a custom field called ISSUEID in JIRA I want to add customFieldIssueID 214 to this can this be done?

Hi there,

JEMH can update fields on issues using Directives.  By using pre-formatted content, eg this is the At Prefix format:

@summary=This is the replacement summary
@customfield_12356=The custom field value
@customfield_12357=A multi
line custom field value
@ISSUEID=you can use named custom fields too
@priority=blocker
 
the remainder of the content becomes the 'comment' or 'description' during create.

 

JEMH supports quite a few format variations.  Single line values are simple to do, multi-line values do present some problems are for the most part, the above format works well.  Its also possible to provide Subject or mail header encoded directives as well as CSV and XML formats.
