Can we setup confluence as our help system (documentation and how-tos) for our software without requiring users to login?

Currently we are directing users to a linked PDF within our software for those who require further help in navigating our system.  We would like to move towards a more robust system that allows users to search for topics by keyword, phrases etc and read documentation via a wiki like environment. 

Is it possible to use confluence to fill this need? Can we disable the need to log-in? 

We are currently utilizing the entire Atlassian suite of software - Jira, Confluence and Stash for our dev environment.  Would it require any additional purchases?

Give anonymous users global access to the site and read access to the specific spaces (and optionally, pages).

Just be careful not to allow "anonymous" anything other than read.
