Accounts not showing up in account timesheet view

nicolai ljøgodt November 18, 2013

I have set up the accounts manually in account manager and added a project. In order to add accounts to issues, I have added a custom field. This works as expected. However when I log time to a project and go to timesheet accounts, there are no work logged. There are also no accounts listed in the all accounts timesheet view.

My mistake was that the custom field was not set to the account in the tempo administration field settings.

Thank you. It now works perfectly:)

Can you please explain your steps to make this work? I am apparently too slow to understand how to make this happen.

Hi Nicolai,

You may also have to associate your already created issues with the new account.

This line is in our documentation:

Also JIRA Issues created before adding the account information, do not automatically become set to an account value, they have to be edited for the value to be activated. It is possible to bulk edit JIRA issues to set the account value

Hope this helps!

Even if you are a JIRA administrator and Project leader, which are both JIRA permissions, you will need the Tempo permissions. They are connected to the Role of Team leader. If you are not a Team leader but in the Role of Team member, you need the "Allow team members to see account details" permission. These are Tempo permissions and necessary to view the Accounts Timesheet.

Information on how to set these Roles can be found here: https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO077/Manage+Teams

If I understand you correctly, we need to add the 'JIRA Role' to the 'Team Leader' Tempo role for this to work? I've added every 'JIRA Group' I am a part of to the Team Leader role in Tempo Permissions and I still cannot see any recorded time when viewing the Account Timesheet :/

hi

I am the administrator of the jira solution and the lead of the project that is added to the account. I have added the account to the already created issues and added work to them.

If I go to tempo and account, I can list all the accounts in the combobox on the top left corner. If I choose all projects, the list will be blank. If I choose an account, it will have no projects nor time.

Hi Nicolai,

you need to have the "Browse Project" permission for the JIRA projects assigned to an account. As a Team leader you can then see the worrklogs for this account in the Account Timesheet.

If you are a Team member (and not Team leader), you also need the "Allow team members to see account details" permission.

Please take a look at https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO077/Account+Timesheet for more information.

Best regards
