Is there a maven plugin that will set a JIRA version to "Released" from Maven? I suppose it would be an existing maven plugin that wraps jira-rest-java-client. It would need to handle authentication, etc, so I'm not sure how that would work from Maven (especially if called from Bamboo).

If not, I can write my own, and hopefully share it.

Or you can release the JIRA version as a follow-on task in Bamboo using rest directly or using the releaseVersion action from CLI Plugin for Bamboo

Would be great - except we're OnDemand (both Bamboo and JIRA). And we want something that works both in Bamboo and locally (preferably via Maven).
