How should I move Confluence and Jira to a new drive?

alexlwilson July 29, 2015

I'm currently in the process of installing JIRA and Confluence on an Azure Linux VM, but have run into a slight problem and am not sure how to proceed, because of my inexperience with Linux.

When installing JIRA and Confluence I failed to notice that the disk they were being installed on was 30 gb (OS disk). So, my questions is how should I go about moving them to a larger disk? Should I just reinstall everything on the new disk and then restore both apps from a recent backup, or is there a way to move the apps and the database over to a new disk? Or, is there a better way?
