Does Tempo keep an audit trail for timesheet changes?

Brad July 29, 2015

One of our requirements is to keep an audit trail for worklog entries that have been modified by users or administrators. We don't necessarily need an interface to access this data, but as long as it is stored somewhere in the database, that will be sufficient.

Does Tempo provide any functionality to keep a history of changes on worklog data (what changed, who changed it and the before/after values). For example if an administrator changes a users hours from 8 to 4 on a specific issue on a given day, is there a record indicating that change?

JIRA only records the change on the issue level. If admin changes a worklog then there will be a record that he changed the timespent value from 8 to 4. You can see it in the activity stream and history tab.

Hi Brad,

Tempo does not audit changes to worklog data, neither does JIRA. Also other Issue updates in JIRA are not tracked.

As Tempo uses the JIRA database tables to store worklog data, you might consider creating a feature request in the Atlassian support system.

Regards,

Susanne
