Is there a way to install Groovy Scipt Runner 3.1.3 plugin on localhost for 6.4.9 Jira version?

Kramarics György July 29, 2015

I need to install the Script Runner for a local host installed Jira. I can't do it through the UPM, it can't find it. I downloaded the groovyrunner-3.1.3.jar file, and I copied it into the Atlassian/Application Data/Jira/plugins/installed-plugins/ folder. I can't see it anyway.

Is there a compatibility issue? Has anyone idea how could I resolve this proble?

Thanks a lot

After you have copied it to this folder, you'll need to restart JIRA. smile

To install add-ons without needing to restart JIRA, please install them through the Administration » Add-ons » Manage Add-ons page. There is a 'Upload Add-on' link that you can use to browse local files - in that case just remove the jar from the installed-plugins folder before uploading it through the UI.

Marketplace should bump the compatibility for minor releases, but for some reason it didn't and the compatibility only went to 6.4.8. I've changed that now so you should be able to find it in UPM, but if you can't, the way to do it as as Matheus mentioned. Can you upload from the marketplace download url directly.
