How to get the transitions for a particular workflow?

I have tried the https://<base_url/rest/api/2/issue/<issue_id>/transitions. But all I am getting is 

{"expand":"transitions","transitions":[]}

I have admin access, so that shouldn't be a problem here. Basically I want to collect all the issues under a particular status and transition one step. What am I doing wrong here?

Hi Kushal,

Transition can have different conditions. Being JIRA admin doesnt allow transition permisisons by default.

May be you should check the workflow condition on transition you are trying to do.
