Hi,
I want to send out an email when the ticket transitions from one status to another. I try to do this with the Custom Email post-function provided by Script Runner and I would like to add the hyperlink to the issue in the email so that the recipient can access information in the ticket.
Do I need to have a custom template to get this functionality? I read this thread: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/117165 - but I couldn't get it to work from that.
If its difficult to share the link, an alternative would be to get information from custom fields in the ticket. I have been searching but not found a basic example of how it's done. Anyone who has some code to share in that case?
Thanks,
Anton
Community moderators have prevented the ability to post new answers.
Something like:
${baseUrl}/browse/${issue.key}
this has been covered a few times before: https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=site%3Aanswers.atlassian.com%20send%20custom%20email%20link
If it doesn't work can you post the simplest template demonstrating the issue, and "how" it doesn't work.
Thank you so much @Jamie Echlin [Adaptavist] - I got it to work now!

I have followed this guide which works great: https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/wiki/display/GRV/Built-In+Scripts#Built-InScripts-Sendacustomemail
But there would definitely be an advantage to simply attach the link to the ticket. @Jamie Echlin [Adaptavist] - do you have any idea of how this could be done?
Best regards,
Anton
