Hi folks,
Let's say I have a JIRA story issue with several components. I am using fisheye as well.
Each component is actually different git repository.
Let's say several developers work on this issue (or subtasks of this issue) each developer having access to different git repositories.
For example there is some frontend and backend work to be done. Both are different repositories, but work is interconnected and that’s why it has to be single story.
My trouble is once you click the development panel to review changes.
How do I do so backend team can see own commit changes in fisheye (backend git repo) but cannot see frontend team changes and vice versa?
Community moderators have prevented the ability to post new answers.
Hi Julian,
This will be managed by the permissions applied to your repositories in FishEye. Restricting the permissions to specific groups of developers will allow only that group to see the commits from that repository in JIRA as well.
Let's say for instance you have repo1 and repo2, respectively accessed by groups dev1 and dev2.
In FishEye you can go to Administration > Repositories
, click in repo1 to open its configuration then go to Permissions
and set the group dev1 to be able to view this repository.
You user from dev1 can then go to JIRA, open this story and click on the Development Panel. The first time this user access this he will be prompted to allow its access to view FishEye information. Once this is done this user will see only the information from the repository to which he has permission.
