When an update of an plugin is more expansive. What pay the customer?

Example:

 - Custom pay Plugin "Version 1.0" for 10$
 - Now I update a plugin to "Version 2.0" for new price 20$
 - What pay now the customer when update the plugin? The difference 10$ or for free? Ore else?

Thank you for help!

See https://developer.atlassian.com/market/faqs/pricing-payment-billing.

For Server, if the customer is renewing within 60 days of the price increase, they can renew at 50% of the previous price ($10 in your example, so $5 for the renewal). Otherwise, they would pay 50% of the new price ($20 in your example, so $10 for the renewal). As long as the customer's license is current, they're entitled to free version updates. Once the maintenance period expires, they cannot update to a new version until they renew the license. They are entitled to use perpetually the versions from before the end date of their maintenance period.

For Cloud, when there's a pricing change, the existing monthly subscriptions will be charged using the previous pricing for 90 days. The existing annual subscriptions will be charged at the previous price for 1 year. This allows customers to be aware of price updates and decide whether or not to renew at the increased price.
