Create a user directly inside jira-users

Christophe Leite October 10, 2013

Hi all,

Is there a way to declare a user and that this one will be automatically associated to jira-users group ? if yes, where can I define this parameter into JIRA configuration ?

Thanks a lot,

Christophe

Hi Christophe

If you are talking about adding the user to jira-users group using LDAP, this is possible, check this documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Connecting+to+an+LDAP+Directory#ConnectingtoanLDAPDirectory-AddingUserstoGroupsAutomatically

Hope it helps,

Ricardo Carracedo.

That is the default behavior. Are you not seeing it? How are you creating the user?

Finally, I deleted all basic groups in JIRA (that is to say jira-administrators, jira-developers and jira-users). I created a group whose name is 'basic' and I would like to add some users in it. Is it automatic ? Do I have anything to do ? if yes, where in my JIRA configuration ?
