Restoring a deleted home page causes error.

Pamela Tollefsen August 19, 2013

When I delete/remove the home page of a space and after confirmation of deletion, I 'm redirected immediately to ListPages screen. If I click on the Home page listed on ListPages screen, the Home (Deleted Page) with Restore link is displayed. If I click on the Restore link and confirmation for restoring the page, the List Pages screen displays again. If I click on the Home page on the List Pages, I may be directed to the restored Home page with the following error "A root page null could not be found for space".

There is a workaround to get back the Home Page without the error. However, this appears to work more fluently and correctly in Version 3.5. Is there a proper solution/fix in the works.

We had a customer with a problem just like yours. In his case, it was a third-party plugin (theme) interfering with the page restore. Could you enable Safe Mode on your Confluence to check if that's the case? Please, enable Plugin Safe Mode and check if you are enable to restore the page.

Cheers!
