Stash Webhook doesn't use custom URL

André Valentin August 5, 2013

Hi,

I downloaded this: https://bitbucket.org/atlassian/stash-webhook-plugin/overview, a simple webhook. It says I have to specify something in the launch of Stash, but even though I change the URL at the end of the start-stash.sh script, it still only goes to the default localhost:8080 page. How come? And how can I fix it?

Best regards,
André

Hi André ,

I wrote that some time ago. I've just updated the plugin to use 'real' Repository Hooks, which were released since then. Now you can configure (once) per-repository. It's still really only meant as a simple example, and not something you would necessarily use in production

Are you trying to notify Jenkins in particular? If so I would probably recommend using the real Jenksins plugin:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.nerdwin15.stash-stash-webhook-jenkins

(And then maybe getting nice builds results too: https://github.com/jenkinsci/stashnotifier-plugin)

I hope that helps?

Charles

Hi Charles,

I just wanted to let you know that this is the most awesome support I've ever received, anywhere! Really snappy and really on-point! Awesome!

The webook works perfectly now with the simply functionality I needed :-)

I salute you!

Best regards,
André
