Do adding labels and scheduling issues require editing permission ?

Julian von Hildebrand July 25, 2013

We have a JIRA project to manage a set of scheduled actions based on next permissions :

- Anyone (within the group) can create an issue
- only Reporter can edit issues
- only assignee can resolve (assigned) issues

We would like to allow a specific nominated member to :

1) Schedule issues
2) Label issues

without being the issue reporter nor assignee. Is this possible ?

In other words, do these 2 permissions require <edit issues> permission ?

Thanks for your help,

Permission to schedule an issue — that is, to edit the 'Due Date' of an issue. In older versions of JIRA this also controlled the permission to view the 'Due Date' of an issue.

This should solve item 1. But remember, you cannot set the Due Date if you have no create or edit permission.

Labeling issue falls under the Edit Issue Permission.
