Please help: multi checkbox list showing as text ?

Roel Van de Paar July 24, 2013

I have a project which has a multi-checkbox field

Now, when it is just being displayed in the standard issue view mode (/browse/) it shows as blurb of text instead of a nice multi-checkbox list (while in edit mode, it shows fine)

How can I get it to show there as a checkbox list also?

Code - you'll need to amend the .vm file that displays the data in the field.

I have a bookmark for this sort of thing: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Changing+the+Size+of+the+Text+Area+Custom+Field - I know it's not quite what you need, but the principles are there - which files you need to amend, how to find them etc.

I find this really annoying. Why give me a list of Text when I asked for checkboxes? It makes no sense! Now I have to install a plugin I have to pay for? I'd really like to see this become standard functionality or a more sensible default value.

They are checkboxes when you create/edit.

To change the display, you probably need to raise this at jira.atlassian.comas a feature request.

Hi Roel,

If you still have the problem, you might want to take a look at the Checklist add-on. It does display the checklist even in view mode.
