With a Google applications account, which are my actual login credentials?

Jason Knight July 5, 2015

I'm trying to use cardboardit.com to import data from Jira. However, I haven't been able to figure out what the correct login credentials are. I usually just login with my Google account. This however, does not seem to work with cardboardit.com. What are my actual login credentials when using a Google account to login to Jira?

Okay, I figured it out. When only using your Google account, you apparently do not have user credentials to login through the API. I created a password for my user, and then it just worked.

Thanks for your help!

I think you can validate that into Confluence Admin > Users and search for your email. This search will bring you all users tied up to that email, that should give you the username tied to your email smile:

Hope it helps.

Hey Jason,

Well, I'm not a pro with cardboard however, as far as the tutorial goes all you need to do is to use an account that have permission in JIRA when using cardboard integration tool:

One thing you could try for a test purpose is to create a internal account in JIRA that have full permission to browse your projects (or administrative privileges) and try the procedure on above tutorial again.

If it fails again, send a screenshot of in which part you are stuck so we can have more ideas wink.

Gotcha, that workaround might get me in the door. I still would like to know how to find out my actual username and password. Can this be done in JIRA user management?

Yes I have the same question as @Charles Mims and @Jason Knight

I need my Atlassian ID to register for my ACP-600 certification. But the thing is I never had login credentials as I always logged in via Google account. So where do I find my Atlassian ID and password or how do I generate credentials?

Help please. Currently I cannot register for the exam which is kind of ridiculous...
