Confluence Migration

Trying to migrate confluence from one server to another - evaluation version.

Haven't been successful so far.

Hi Bambang,

Did you check this documentation?

Basically, what you need to do is:

1. Install a fresh copy of Confluence (same version) in the new server
2. After this is running, stop the new Confluence.
3. Copy the home folder from your Confluence of production to the new server and point in the new installation to use the home folder you've copied. 
4. Also do a database dump from your Confluence of production and import this to a new database and setup your new Confluence to use this database. 
5. Remember to change the IP address and Hostname to don't point to your old Confluence address.
6. Now, start Confluence.

Hi Renato,

Thanks for your reply. I'm actually still evaluation version and will get the paid version shortly as my team is keen in using Confluence.

But before that I need to move the confluence to a different server with a better spec as it keeps running out of memory.

What do you think I should do next? I'm still new with Confluence.

Could you please let me know the steps you have taken to migrate Confluence from one server to another.

Is the database in another server or localhost?
