Changing language

Simon G_ July 2, 2015

Hi!

It could be a silly question, but I can't find how changing the language interface.

For my Agent, ok I go on the profile, I see the language under "Preference" but when I click on Modify, I get the following error:

I'm just logged in! And if I log in again, same problem!

For my customer, I can only change the name or the time zone bot not the language interface.

Have you any idea?

best regards

Hi Takar,

changing language in customer portal by agents, users and customers is one of many features of Service Pack for JIRA Service Desk. You have also possibility to translate non static fields in customer portal (currently not available in JIRA Service Desk). There are also many features that can make your customer portal more user friendly. Here you can find documentation:

https://intenso.atlassian.net/wiki/display/SPFJSD/Links+and+Language+Switcher

https://intenso.atlassian.net/wiki/display/SPFJSD/Multilanguage+support

I hope I've helped you.

Best Regards

Hi Daniel, Thanks, that was what I needed. However, I would like a little precision: The Service Pack pricing is based on the user number, as the Service Desk pricing is based on agent. In this case, can I consider that Agent = User?

Hi, unfortunately there is no possibility to have license for plugin depends of agent's count. Atlassian doesn't give such possibility. So license have to be the same as for all plugins for JIRA. Best Regards,

Takar,

The default timeout is 300 minutes. Use this KB to check if everything is according to default.

If you didn't change any configuration, please try to use other Web Browser (Clean the Browsers Cache) and check if the problem persist. If so, try to check if anything outside from JIRA could be triggering this timeout issue like a proxy configuration.

Hello Takar,

Right now, the customer can not change the language on the Customer Portal, we have this Suggestion request about that:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-303 I would strongly suggest that you vote on this issue to increase its popularity and add it to your watchlist for future updates
