Issues with working on multiple independent projects simultaneously

Diana Melkumyan July 1, 2015

I am a product owner who currently works on multiple independent projects simultaneously and I have the following issues:

  • When I start creating an issue on one board and meanwhile visit another project in another tab of the browser, the issue I have initially started creating automatically changes the project to the one I have visited. The same bug appears when I create the issue after visiting another project and coming back.
  • Labels, epics and scripts are not filtered according to the project.

I wanted to know whether there is a solution that can be set by our administrators or, if not, maybe there is an open issue we can vote for.

Hi Diana,

This is all default behaviour for JIRA, when creating an issue it will automatically select the project you visited last, you should normally be able to simple reselect the correct project. What you could try to do is opening the second project in a different browser or in an 'incognito' tab  within you browser.

Labels, Epics and Scripts are considered to be cross project in JIRA, this is not changeable within the tool. Of course you could agree with your team on rules about the usage of Labels, Epics and Scripts.

Best regards,
Peter
