How to back up JIRA Cloud

troy bryant July 1, 2015

I am trying to figure out how to back out my cloud application.  The documentation says files will be saved in WebDav location for 24 hours and to use the JIRA back up.  What I really want to know is if I push the button to create back up what happens on the other side of the door?  Where will the files be saved and if its saved in WebDav how do I access that?

Hi Troy,

When you click on that button the backup process starts, and when it is complete, it is stored in your WEBDAV so you can download it. You can either download the file from the UI (in the backup manager page, where the name of your backup file will be shown once the process finishes), you can go to https://YOURINSTANCEURL.atlassian.net/webdav, login with your username and password (same ones used to login to your instance), and you will find your backup inside a folder called backupmanager.

Please keep in mind that only administrators can do that.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Clarissa.

It will be stored on cloud server.

Once back up is ready...you will see link to download it and I believe that link will be available for 24 hrs.

I have used cloud an year back so my observation may not be correct.
