How to call java script code(Inside plugin) from create screen custom field?

Hi,

How to call java script code(Inside plugin) from create screen custom field with out coding in field description.

when user clicks on 'Approved' checkbox.The user name should capture the below 'Message Integration change Approver' user field.

As of now we are achieving through java script in field description.Going forward java script in the description field will not support with upcoming JIRA releases.

So we would  like to call the script in the plugin on already existing field in jira.

The example showing java script calling on new field.But we trying to call on exiting JIRA custom field.

Based on your requirement, you can just add this function in the workflow transition... Like "Update an Issue field" or run a custom script which do the same thing.

This is an optional field.we can't set this in post function for every issues creation and also update issues field will work with predefined values.we can not set same user for every issues creation.

typo mistake :'update custom field' we can set 'current user' but this value is not required for every issues creation.

I am looking to call java script in web resource module. How Can we add help text next to the custom field like,which will be pop-up (question mark).As soon as we click on question mark ,one pop-up will displayed with details.
