Downloading JIRA Source Path Too Long

mark Sisson July 13, 2013

I'm trying to download and look at JIRA source for the first time. When I downloaded "6.1-m02 Source (ZIP Archive)" there were seven files whose names were too long for Win7 so I had to skip unzipping them.

Should I use a different file to download to a Win7 64-bit box?

Where are you unzipping them? In the root folder of C:\?

Thanks for the idea Timothy, unzipping them in a folder other than C:\ worked. Do you know why?

It's either your program that you used to unzip or the path is really too long.
