Can't use JIRA Issue macro in confluence without logging into JIRA

OK - my JIRA instance is set to public mode, and I've verified that any user can view any issue without logging into JIRA. I've got my Confluence and JIRA linked through OAuth (since they don't have the same userbase). But my Confluence users who aren't JIRA users are unable to use the JIRA Issues macro! When they try to use the macro, they see a message that says they need to login to JIRA. The dialog won't let them do anything without logging in. I don't understand why this would be necessary, since my JIRA is open. They CAN see an existing JIRA macro that was set up by a JIRA user, but they can't create their own. Is there something I need to change in my setup?

Thanks,

Jason

Nevermind, I fixed it. It turns out that I had outgoing authentication turned on in the application link. This was unnecessary, as the JIRA instance was open. I disabled the outgoing authentication and the problem was resolved.
