how can i customize the header bar in confluence?

hi, i am using confluence 5.1.3 version and would like to customize the header bar at the top. can any one help me where to start? i am planning to add dropdown with some values.

Hi i have tried the solution provided at https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=358908020. but it the given new link is appearing twice on header bar. any one help on this?

Hi SumaRamki,

I think you will find that using either CSS or Decorators would be the best approach for this, so I'd recommend that you check out the following two documents as these should give you some pointers to what is possible and how you can do it.

Hi John, thanks for the reply. when i navigate to http://<baseurl>/admin/listdecorators.action, i found many layouts. but none of them have code to change the header section ( where i have global navigation, Space directory and people directory link and Create button) at the top of each page. Not sure if i am missing something here. can you please guide me?

Hi, i got [this|https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=358908020] link. after i have added the code to Custom HTML, i am getting links twice on heder bar. that means one link is appearing next to Create button and same link is appearin gafter noticifations icon and user menu.

can any one help on this?
