Hi dear community,
Just got a necessity to extend JIRA's feature in sight of managing the attachments (size limits, permissions for different type of users, etc.), but couldn't get enough information how it is possible to implement (thinking to implement it as plugin).
Do you have any ideas?

Hello, Paulo.
You can try our add-on Smart Attachments. It allows you to restrict access to attachments for particular users, user groups or project roles. If this is not enough, you can reach at vrutkevich@stiltsoft.com and we can discuss your requirements.
Thanks.
Hi Vadim, Thanks for your suggestion, but we want some different functionality, also we are thinking to contribute it to github at the end of the day.

Hello Paulo,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, exactly, the challenge is to handle restrictions and size limits of attachments according to the user profile: i.e. limits vary according to role in project or global role in system.

Hello Viacheslav,
You can limit the attachment size following this guide: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+File+Attachments
About permissions, not sure if I got what you meant, but are you talking about a feature to restrict a specific user to attach files ?
