Looking for Jira Plugin Developers

Labatt May 21, 2013

I'm not sure if this is against the "rules".. please post a reply if it is and I'll take it down.

I'm looking for individual developers interested in freelance work to develop Jira and (possibly) Confluence plugins that will eventually be for sale on the marketplace.

I have some ideas, but I don't have the expertise. I'm not looking for a company that charges $200/hour and will develop these plugins for thousands of dollars (although I do recognize their value). I'm looking for people who are seeking to make an extra $500, $1000 or more depending on the complexity of the plugin.

Why individuals? Not because I'm cheap, but because I know there are a lot of people out there who could use some extra money and I'd prefer to support them in this initiative.

A few notes... it would be great if you have experience with the Atlassian Licensing API and have built plugins for the marketplace in the past. Plugins should include code documentation and be written using standard coding practices (error capture, debugging displayed in standard Jira logs, commenting, variable naming, indentation, appropriate use of functions, procedures and objects, etc.).

I wish this site supported person to person communications, but it doesn't appear to... so if you're interested..

Send an e-mail to jira-plugins svpelican. Put an @ sign before the svpelican, and add a .com to the end.

Just to clarify one thing... if you are interested in talking then I will send you a simple confidentiality agreement to sign to protect both myself and you. If we end up working together, I'll have another agreement that is a "work for hire" agreement and property rights (just to make sure I own the software that is written). I've tried to make these as plain and simple as possible and they are not meant to cause problems.
