Hi All,
We are having two user directory in our Confluence, like
1. JIRA Remote directory (top at the order)
2. Internal directory
So, in the above scenario how I can create a user in Conflucne internal directory. Here if I'm creating a user, then it will automatically adding user to JIRA remote directory. I'm not getting any option to change the user directory of existing user as well. Please help.
Thanks,
Sanu P Soman

You can reorder the ordering so Internal Directory is first, add your user, then switch them back. That should work
Thanks Colin for your response. :)
Is there any issues will face existing users/logged users, if we switch the user directory order.

Hey Sanu,
If a user is duplicated across both directories, then switching the order will change their group memberships (so that their group memberships in the higher order directory will be reflected), and other attributes such as their First Name, Last Name, etc. If their passwords differ across both directories, they will also need to use the password of their account that is in the top directory. So, it's highly recommended for you to switch the directory order back after adding the Confluence user. (the change of group memberships might also cause them to lose certain permissions to spaces, pages, etc)
