Confluence not able to communicate with Jira -

Kevin Murphy May 8, 2013

We are using Confluence 4.3.7 which authentices most users via Crowd (2.6.0).

This Confluence instance is behind a company firewall, which we've ruled out as a possible cause, therefore we do not use SSL. Currently both Jira and Conf have each other setup as Trusted Apps - their IP ranges have been added as have the URL's in the below document suggest>

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF43/Configuring+Trusted+Applications+Authentication+for+an+Application+Link

We have a separate server which hosts our Jira 5.2.2 which has a separate user base (users do not authenticate via Crowd).

Hi, what problems are you getting? Perhaps show us the error? Have you found anything in the logs?

Would you happen to be using IPv6 or have support to this and haven't added it to the IP ranges?

Have you tested that there is connectivity between the 2 servers outside of JIRA and/or Confluence?

Are the required ports blocked?
