I do a backup of the cloud JIRA and then I try to do a import of the project and I get the following Errorss

Errors The data mappings have produced errors, you can not import this project until all errors have been resolved. See below for details. Custom Field Configuration The custom field 'Epic Colour' of type 'Color of Epic' is required for the import but does not exist in the current JIRA instance.... but I dont see any type "Color of Epic" please help

I am new to being a JIRA Admin so I dont know what the issue is.. can someone please give me details on this.. thanks

Hi John,

Have you attempted to simply create the Custom Field to check if the import will proceed?

That field is an Agile field - do you have Agile installed in the target JIRA?  And do you have the epic colour field in the list of custom fields?

I have Agile installed and I cant create the field "epic colour" due to know having the type 'Color of Epic'

You must have a very old version of Agile installed, which suggests you are trying to import a new version of JIRA into an older one that does not support it. You need to decide how to migrate your data - either a new custom field to hold the colour (which isn't going to be of much use because it will be text), or look at the version of Agile you're using and bring it up to a version that does implement the colour field.

we just installed Agile and its version 6.7.2 which is the new version.. it is updated
