Gadget to list all projects of which i'm the project lead

Thomas Negeli April 24, 2013

Is there a way to list all projects of which I'm the project lead?

JQL only gives me issues. What I need is just a list of projects.

My users would like to have a gadget on their dashboard.

Hi,

There is a default Project gadget availbale which you can check.

Note: This gadget displays all the projects irrespective of Current user being Project Lead / Not

If you want to show list of Project where current user is project lead, then you will have to develope the new Gadget.

In JIRA:

  1. Click the Project / View All Projects menu selection.
  2. On the resulting Browse projects Screen in the All project types - All categories Field, start typing your name until it filters to your projects.

Evidently, this field filters on each output column (except for URL) displayed on the Browse projects screen progressively from left to right; not just the project type and category.

Hi @Thomas Negeli1 , I realize this thread is 6 years old!! But I thought it might be helpful for other users in the community to know there are other options.

You can get a full list of all the projects in which you are the project lead using Profields' project navigator. Simply filter by lead in the basic search and you'll have it. Then use this filter to create a Profields gadget.

For full disclosure, I work at Profields' manufacturer, DEISER.

Here's an example of what the search looks like in our demo environment

Hi @Pooja Shukla,

After reading your question I realized I forgot to mention that part. Yes, you can create a gadget based on any filter in the Project Navigator, including this one. I'll go ahead and correct my initial formulation.

Thanks,

J

For those with the cloud version of Jira, it is worth noting that the Profields Addon for Jira Cloud doesn’t have gadgets for dashboards - yet. But it is being developed.

Yes! That is in our backlog, meanwhile you have a workaround for this need using "eazyBI for Jira" integrated with Profields.
