I am developing application using JIRA rest client.
I want to authenticate user by its email id as well as username.
I am able to do this by username only.
Is it possible to login using Email Id.
Please guys help.

Hi Ameya,
I'm afraid you cannot use your email to authenticate via API, only the username, sorry about that.
The REST APIs support basic authentication, OAuth and session authentication. In basic authentication, username:password is required.
