Bulk Edit Summary Plugin

Hello everyone,

I recently started researching how to develop a plugin for JIRA and have a few questions. I would like to devleop a plugin that bulk edits the summary for multiple tickets to remove a section of text from all the summaries.

Example

Original Summary: "CLONE - SOME RANDOM STUFF"

Post Edit Summary: "SOME RANDOM STUFF"

Basically have the plugin perform the above action across multiple tickets. Is there already a plugin available that does this? Where would be a good place to start developing this? Any help would be fantastic.

Hi,

Since you want to do Bulk edit, you can look at writing a JIRA service.

Service has to be such that, you can configure the filter ( to get required tickets), field to be modified, and Value to be Set.
