With my job we get over the 2GB limit for one project on Bitbucket with GIT
It is not because there is a long history on many files, it is because we program with a software (IQAN) which have the sources in only one 22.5mB file.
Even if I know that it is not perfect with GIT because we can't compare and merge the source file, we really appreciate to use it in order to keep trace of every improvement.
Is there a way (paying account) to be able to have a larger repo?
Or the solution would be to create a new one every 2GB?
Thanks
Hi,
There's in fact a limit of 2 GB for the repository size in Bitbucket.
I found a page that explains further the reason for this limit and offer a few suggestions on how to treat this: What kind of limits do you have on repository/file/upload size?
As pointed by Timothy, using Stash may be also an option for you, as you would be the responsible for hosting it and wouldn't have the limit for the repository size. You may read more about Stash at https://www.atlassian.com/software/stash.

I don't think that there is a way a round to 2GB size for repo. You may want to consider hosting your own Stash instance.
