Can I link an on premise Crucible/Fisheye to Jira OnDemand ?

Jonathann Zenou May 6, 2015

I am having issue with this. I succeeded to create the link from Crucible/Fisheye on premise to JIRA OnDemand, but I could not create the one from JIRA OnDemand to Crucible/Fisheye on premise, even if a check though a third party service (http://ping.eu/port-chk/) that the port 8060 was open to the internet on my Crucible/Fisheye installation. Of course I made the operation on both installations (Crucible/Fisheye and Jira) as admin.

Hi Jonathaan,

To integrate with Cloud instances FishEye must be accessible through port 80/443, you can do this either by;

  • Integrating with Apache and then port forwarding to 8060 through the configuration
  • Directly set up FishEye to bing on port 80, however the user running FishEye needs to be root in order to do this so the Apache solution is preferred.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Christopher,

I don't have anything listening to port 80/443 . The package I installed includes fisheye and crucible (fecru-3.8.0). The only port the application is listening to is 8060 and I opened it.

Hi Jonathann,

When setting up an Application link between FishEye and a JIRA Cloud (previously called OnDemand) please ensure that;

  • Your FishEye application must be accessible through port 80 (or port 443 with a valid (CA) SSL certificate).
  • You must initiate the application link creation from JIRA Cloud.

For more information please see;

Cheers,

Chris
