How to move or copy Links and Files and not lose file history?

Chris Tuttle April 20, 2015

I need to move content, links, and files with associated version history from one page to another page in confluence.  I understand how to do the copy and paste to another page.  What I do not understand is how to keep any associated file versions with the files that are moved over?

Thanks in advance for any help on this topic.

Hello Chris,

You can move the entire page to its new destination, and that will carry the attachments and their versions. Is there any particular reason to move solely the attachments and contents? In case you would like to do this in a different manner, that would involve tinkering with the DB or using an external component such as Attachment Checkout.
