I used to be able to expand pictures from a table by clicking on them, but now I cannot. Did something change?

Tim Stonelake April 20, 2015

I used to just get an expanded view of the picture when clicking, and I noticed that if the picture isn't embedded in a table this still works.  Now pictures in a table have a small arrow next to them that flip on a click instead of the old expand.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have the picture in a sortable header. The sortable header is taking priority of the mouse.onClick event. Turn off the sortable header or move the picture out of the sortable header.

Same issue as reported here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-29527 and closed as local support: Confluence cannot handle two mouse-click events at once, the Sortable table takes priority.

That worked, thank you! It took me a bit to find the option, but if I selected the whole row and turned off 'header row' then they resized as normal. Much appreciated!

Hello Tim, can you attach the image in question to this thread, so we can test if this is reproduceable?

Tom,

Thanks for the info.  I'm on Confluence Server 5.6.5 and the arrows in question are shown below.  Scrolling over a picture in a table causes both to show up (it looks like an elevator) and then clicking 'sticks' the arrow to up.  Clicking again flips it to down, and then you can toggle at your leisure between the two.  What confuses me is that I"ve since checked other pages in our space, and only one page is doing this.  On other pages the image expands as expected.

Hi Tim, Atlassians often weigh in to help answer questions but many of us are other users like yourself. Can you share what version of Confluence Server you are referring to, or if you are referring to Confluence Cloud? It may also help to include a screenshot of what you mean by 'Now pictures in a table have a small arrow next to them that flip on a click..'. If noone is able to answer your question here (I'm not sure I can but maybe with more info someone can..), then don't hesitate to input a ticket at support.atlassian.com. Cheers, Tom
