Cannot open the "Atlassian Support Tools" page with admin user

Adam March 18, 2013

We just imported a JIRA project from OnDemand (today) and imported it into a new Amazon EC2 instance running Atlassian JIRA (v5.2.8#851-sha1:3262fdc).

We've got two problems

1. Can't install plugins (we're trying to test a plugin)

2. Open the "Atlassian Support Tools" page with admin user http://d.pr/i/A186

Since the second problem makes it harder to diagnose the #1 problem, I think it makes sense to start with the admin issue.

Assuming you followed https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Migrating+from+JIRA+OnDemand+to+a+JIRA+Installed+Site ? If so - you try logging in as sysadmin?

This was the issue - we didn't have the system-administrators group assigned to either of us. We now have access. Thank you!

Looks to me like your Admin account doesn't actually have full admin rights. Could you check what group(s) it is in? And then what Global Permissions says for the two types of administration?

Ah - that appears to be the issue. There is now a group called: system-administrators

Neither of our users has that group... Any way to get in?
