Hello
I have installed a JIRA instance in my server.
I have created a workflow.
My problem is when i create a new issue.
When I create a new issue, to have the possibility to send this issu in 2 status, to be status OPEN FROM IT or OPEN FROM HELPDESK.
This is the same issue type.
Is possible to this trick ??
Community moderators have prevented the ability to post new answers.
I need to change the reporter when the issue is created, the reporter would be only in IT Group.
And only reporter can edit this issue.
When Help DESK create an issue, the reporter would be a random user from IT Group.
When IT create an issue, the reporter would be the user is created this issue.
And the issue would be editable only for the reporter user.
If you separate the groups of users, you would know what user opened the issue, right? So you can implement that logic based on the reporter's group. You don't need to create statuses in the workflow, and (even it is correct) you don't have to create another CF

No, you have only one possible status from create transition in a workflow. Why don't you use a mandatory customfield (Select list, Radio button ) with those two values (FROM IT, FROM HELPDESK)
