Change variable format

Inserted a Variable in a template, cannot get variable's property panel to open so that I can change its type. 

What is shown in the documentation does not work.

Hey Chien,

Can you post the screenshots of your actions so we can see in which template you've added the variable and how you did it?

Plus the Confluence version you are using do we can further understand the situation and better assist you?

Thanks Deividi. I tried to answer the email but it was no reply. I have abandoned the idea of using a variable to pursue other means. Version of Confluence is 5.6.1
