Multiexcerpt & Include: In a template to default to the page that is created on

Jee Christiansen March 30, 2015

We work with redundant data and information on the same document. We are utilizing the Multiexcerpt to alleviate some of the repetition and ensure all field are updated when one is.

THE PROBLEM:

when we create the page from the template, the macros bug out and require a page to be defined. When using the macro outside of a template it seems to inconsistently default target the page it lives in, which is what we want, but consistently.

We tried using "@self" command within the template, but the macro rejects it and errors out.

Does anyone know if there is a command, via macro fields or open source editor,  for the macro to target the page it lives on that will survive from template to the page that is created from it?

thanks!

Hi Jee,

I've just implemented and released this new feature at your request.

It is available in version 4.11.0 of the multiexcerpt add-on now on the Marketplace.

Now the multiexcerpt-include accepts "@self" for a page on which to find the multiexcerpt.
