Unique list of recently changed pages?

Is it possible to show a unique list of pages that have changed, ordered by the most recent change to the page? I would like to specify either:

• the maximum number of pages to display, or:
• the time interval to display (i.e. last n days).

The "All Updates" tool on the dashboard shows pages over an interval which is too short, and there doesn't seem to be a way to alter this. I have also looked at activity streams and RSS feeds, but these show every change which is useless clutter for the users concerned. They need to see just one entry for each page that has changed that satisfies the criteria, along with the date of the most recent change.

I am using version 5.5 of Confluence, but would consider upgrading if 5.6 or 5.7 adds something that would make this easier.

Why don't you just use the "Recently Updated" macro?  You can limit the maximum number of pages to display, but you can also see more by clicking "Show More".  Just make sure you choose "@all" for the space name, and you can limit it to only pages in the options.  I'm not sure if that's what you're referring to as "Activity Stream", but as far as I know it does not show multiple edits multiple times, it only shows the most recent edit.

You're right: I think that I had conflated this macro with "Recently Updated Dashboard". "Activity Stream" is also on the macro list in our installation, but I think it comes from JIRA. Thanks.
