How to close sprint programatically?

Would any one please guide me how to close the sprint using programatically? I am using JIRA Agile 6.6.13 version.

Am getting 400 error when I use agile 1.0 API. I'm on jira 5 is there any other API in jira5 or greenhopper to achieve this. Am quite unsure why am I not able to use agile API. Please help me

Easiest way to achieve this is to use the REST API and close sprints according to your business rules.
