What does filter synchronizer option "Remove... only from under XXX" mean exactly?

Laura Savičienė March 25, 2015

Hi,

I have a number of filter synchronizers configured in this manner

Filter (JQL query)
JQL query: <...>
Add matching issues, as sub-issues of XXX
Move matching issues from other locations in the structure under XXX
Remove non-matching issues (only from under XXX)

where XXX is some issue id.

My question is: does option "Remove... only from under XXX" means:

1) remove "only direct children of XXX", or

2) remove "any descendant, no matter how far removed, of XXX".

I expected the (1), but what I observe is different.

Thanks,

Laura

Hi Laura,

With this option selected, any of the descendants can will be removed if they stop passing the filter and have no children, which still do pass the filter.

Hope this helps,

Eugene
