I am now the proud administrator of a 50-user JIRA site. I am working my way through it and am stuck on something. I would like to have a "street address" field that gets automatically populated on a certain issue type (work orders). This is for our techs in the field who will visit our clients.
Is there any way to create that field for each project and have it autofill that field? I am just trying to figure out how to basically put static content into tasks. In the end this might be needed for more fields as well.
Thanks so much. Looking forward to being a part of this community.

Thanks to both of you. So I will potentially have 100s of projects here. With that in mind the easiest way to do this would be to have a separate context for every single project with a default value?
With 100+ projects it will be a lot of work. But I've got no better solution - maybe someone else

Hi Michael,
I think this plugin might also be of some assistance:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/jira.plugin.projectspecificselectfield.jpssf
As well as this page:

You can use for each project a different context of that field and set a default value accordingly.
